Fresh Start’s clients and society at large receive high value per funding dollar.

Fresh Start Recovery Centre delivers SROI beyond 23:1
In 2013 Success Markets Inc. (SMI) – a Washington, DC research group – conducted an extensive study of Fresh Start’s impact on the community and found Fresh Start’s addiction recovery program to be ‘highly effective.’
“We recently revised all estimates for consistency and have found that Fresh Start’s limits have increased from a Lower Bound (LB 17) and Upper Bound (UB 29) to an LB 22 and UB 43 so while a SROI of around 23 is still valid a Best Estimate (BE 31) is probably a more accurate estimation.
Donations to Fresh Start Recovery Centre’s (FS) drug and alcohol recovery programs are exceptionally effective in helping men and their families facing the dire consequences of addiction begin recovery and successfully regain control of their lives. While an agency of last resort for many, FS has proven highly successful in helping even long-time addicts regain sobriety. For example, 51% of men who completed a FS program in 2014 celebrated a year of post-treatment sobriety in 2015; this compares very favourably with national rates of 5% to 10% in Canada.”
