Run for Recovery May 28, 2017

Addiction is a chronic disease yet rarely achieves the kind of attention and financial support that cancer or diabetes receive. While these are very worthy causes, SO IS ADDICTION RECOVERY.

There are no runs, walks or flags that fly when we lose our loved ones to addiction or pride marches to say we are living a life in recovery free from the chains that once bound us and many others.

Well, get ready folks. We have been invited to participate in and chosen as one of the recipients of The Calgary Scotiabank Marathon on May 28, 2017. We need your support. Join and show your support to our motley crew, “The Recovery Runners”, and help us raise $10,000 for addiction recovery. There are participation levels for everyone; join in the 5 km walk or run, 10 km or half marathon run as well as the kid’s marathon.
Every STEP you take will help make a difference for the men and families Fresh Start serves.

Mission Fit

Ron Jarrett, owner of Mission Fitness is what a committed and helpful community partner is all about. He trains the clients in the house weekly and believes that true strength and progress can only be made from a solid foundation.  That foundation includes alignment, mobility and stability, and must address any muscular imbalances, weaknesses and lack of connection.  Achieving this level means the body is able to progress safely without fear of injury. www.missionfit.ca
