Online Holiday Art, Experience and Wellbeing Auction

Blog Article

This December, Fresh Start is trying something a little different.

You, me, our families, friends, coworkers and neighbours – we have all had a difficult year. Your health and wellbeing are important to Fresh Start and we wanted to find a way where we could give you a special opportunity as we say thanks for your support of the important work we do in transforming and saving lives impacted by the disease of addiction.

With the current situation and the new restrictions coming into play all over the country, we wanted to offer a little light at this time of year.

Many of our dedicated supporters were quick to step up and help populate our first ever online holiday art, experience and wellbeing auction. Our friends at Fiera Capital Private Wealth – with the help of Elevate Auctions – were quick to join Fresh Start to bring these rare and treasured items to you so you can either enjoy them yourself or surprise a loved one with one or more of them this year.

Remember to check back often as new items will be appearing every now and then. Currently we have artwork from renowned artists like…

Paul Van Ginkel, Carolyn Sinclair, Melanie Morstad, Cindy Skrukwa,
April Mercredi, Tamara Zaleski, Jennifer Weihmann, Neil Thiessen,
Louise Gallagher, Josée Element and Carl White … with more on the way.

An ultimate fitness training package from Ron Jarrett (the “Toughest Calgarian Alive).

Two men’s fashion packages from our long-time supporters, Supreme Menswear.

An Ultimate Overnight Guided Fly-Fishing Experience for 2 on the Bow courtesy of Glen Rumpel.

A One Week stay for 2 at Villa Caroline Boutique Hotel in Zihuatanejo, Mexico … and many other treasures including ways to help individuals and families who turn to Fresh Start for help in difficult times.

We are also blessed to be part of the 2020 Calgary Herald Christmas Fund this year when support is so important to keep people connected and help the ones who seek help to overcome the hold that their disease of addiction has over them.

“Your gift creates impact! Life is the most precious gift you can give … next is Hope. You give hope for a second life to someone struggling with addiction, to a mother who worried about her son every night, to a child who gets her father back, to someone who gets their spouse back and to a grandmother who gets to reunite with her absent grandson. These are only some of the gifts you make possible.Fresh Start has been recovering lives impacted by the disease of addiction and reuniting families with your help for the past 28 years. Consider giving these gifts of hope and healed lives.”

Thank you for your support in so many ways and we hope that you find something in our auction offering that brings you and yours joy this Holiday Season. Wishing you and yours a wonderful Holiday Season and Happy New Year.
